Trip to China

My dream vacation has always been to go to china, because i am a huge fan of their culture. I have made plans to go to china, it will be a 4 weeks long. I decided to visit china for a month because there is just to much to visit and see, in a 4 week span i can do all what i planed. I will be going to Beijing, China from a flight from Boston. My flight leaves at 11:40 am on Sunday May 12,2013. My return flight is at 4:20 pm on Sunday June 9,2013. The departure flight will be on the China Eastern flight company. The return flight will be on the Hainan Airlines flight company. The total price of the flights are $1,552. The hotel that i will be staying howard johnson paragon hotel in Beijing. The price will be $70.93 per night. There will be many things to do when i travel to china. The first place i would visit is the Great Wall of China because it is a site to see, It is a path way across China's border. The next place i would visit is the Mount Everest, it is the largest mountain in the world. When can you say you were on Mount Everest?. I have been on Mount Everest when i visited Nepal. Next thing i would visit is the Forbidden City. This place is a sacred city which has been taken care of for hundreds of years. Next thing i would enjoy is all the food and the culture in China. They have exotic cuisine in streets, where they have street food. I would buy some artifacts to bring back from the trip. This trip will be amazing and i wish this was a real trip.

Orlando Florida

The place I would like to visit is Orlando, Florida. I look at Orlando as being the ideal place for going on vacations.  There is no way on earth you can be bored there.  You can go to Universal studios , Disney World or even an Orlando Magic game.  In Orlando accommodation is not a problem there a world class hotels all over the place.

Taking the plane is easily the fastest route and the airline I recommend is Jet Blue. Jet Blue is a top line airliner and offers great comfortable seating.  Once you land there are many buses or taxi’s that offer rides to your hotel.  I suggest staying at the Hilton Orlando which is ranked as one of the best in The United States let alone the world.  Hilton makes you feel right at home. With a queen size bed and nice flat screen, you can relax after an adventurous day.  One site that is a must for any family is or a person who wants to relive their childhood is Disney World. There are a large assortment such of entertainment available at the park.  Disney World contains a lot of rides for teens adults and even kids to enjoy. They have live shows performed by Disney characters which interact with the crowd. The restaurants are great for the family as they are Disney themed and the kids always have a great time.  A great event to go to is  Orlando Magic game if you have a chance. I do caution the Magic are a terrible just awful team. If they play a great team then it is a must see because the tickets are so cheap. If you are lucky enough to catch the Heat  or any great team then definitely go ,it will be worth your time to watch the best in action for cheap. 

    Orlando is a trip I recommend to everyone I guarantee a good time for everyone. However this trip is not a cheap one by any means. The plane ticket down to Orlando from Jet Blue can cost $300. Hilton Hotel Orlando can cost up to $132 per night depending on where you book. Disney World admission is $89 for a one day  price plus anything you buy inside is additional.  An Orlando Magic ticket  can start at $20 depending where you sit. Overall I suggest you start saving your money now but is worth every penny.

Vacation to India and Nepal

India is the place where I was born and was brought up. I moved to America at the age of 10 for better opportunities. After 6 years I headed back in the summer to visit India for the first time after I left it. My family plan was to visit family and especially go see sightseeing. The flight ticket to India goes from 1000 to 1200. This BLOG explains a lot more. Obviously meet family was first on my list of things to do. I really wanted to go see things in India that everyone dies to see. The first place I wanted to visit was Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal around the world is known as one of the most beautiful place in the world. As of seeing it in person I can totally agree with that. First entering the Taj Mahal it’s a long process.

When you enter it starts of as a beautiful garden. It has lots of water falls and just beautiful scenery. I got to go next to and inside the Taj Mahal when I visited. It’s made out of clear white marble and it’s so clean you can see you reflection on the tiles. The second place I visited was the India Gate. India Gate is located in the middle of the capitol of India, New Delhi. It’s a very monumental place where Indian pride is shown. Many events by the army happen there. When I visited the gate I visited at night. At night the lights make the gate more beautiful than it is in bright daylight. My family and I had ice cream late at night while enjoying the beautiful view of the gate. During my trip to India I also did visit Kathmandu, Nepal to meet my aunt. My Family originated from the country of Nepal so I still have lots of family there. In Nepal I went around and saw some historic temples which I found boring. The things I found interesting in Nepal was trying all the foods and climbing different mountains in the Himalayas Mountains. This trip all around cost per person was 2,000 dollars. I did stay with family to take expenses away. I do recommend you take a trip like to make your mind explore at the beauty India and Nepal has to offer.

London, England

London

Anyone that knows me well knows that my biggest dream is to travel to England. Ever since I can remember England has been a huge interest of mine. I’ve always had dreams of traveling to England, living in England, working in England, and maybe even studying in England. However, if I were to take a trip to England in the near future, the first place I would want to visit is of course, London.

In London, I would hope to take a tour on a red double-decker bus, and visit places like the Tower of London, or go across the London Bridge, and take a tour through Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. But most importantly, I want to eat at Nando’s. Nando’s is a restaurant that has locations all over the world, even one in Washington D.C; however everyone in England loves Nando’s. I know this because I’m the fan of several semi-famous professional YouTubers from England who all eat at Nando’s.   

My obsession with England has led me to even purchase my clothes online from major British fashion retailers. Shops like TopMan, JackWills, and New Look are some of my favorites. However, Topman and Topshop are the only British clothing stores that you can directly order online from through the U.S. For the other shops I have to either go through ebay or amazon.

While staying in England, I’d hope to stay at a nice hotel like The Grove in London. However one night alone costs around £1,000. So, if I were to go sometime in the near future I would most likely be staying in hostel like places. A flight to and from London from Boston costs about $850.00. Needless to say, before I plan my dream vacation to England I will most definitely have to save up quite a bit of money.  Hopefully however, it won’t take too long, because I really cannot wait until I can visit the big city.

Dream Vacation

    For me, my dream vacation will always be at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I have gone down there with my family about eight times and I love it. I have mad amazing memories with each visit, and it has by far become my most favorite place to vacation. I went with my family two years ago during my junior year of high school and I am planning to go with them again sometime soon. Right now, however, I am planning to go down next Christmas break with some friends. We are planning to go down there near the middle of January and stay there for eight days. It surprisingly is not going to cost too much. We are driving down, to avoid the cost of flying, and it is going to save us a couple hundred dollars. We are also staying at a campground because of the warm weather in Florida even in the winter. We found and booked a place for fifty dollars a night between eight people. We bought ticket packages for seven days that cost about three hundred dollars for each of us to purchase. When you add the final costs which include food and spending money, the total comes to about eight hundred dollars for eight days at Disney World, which to me, is worth every penny.
     Once the cost is out of the way, the fun can begin. Someone could stay at Disney World for a whole year and still not be able to partake in everything it has to offer. There are virtually endless activities that can be done at Disney World, but we keep it basic. Once you arrive in Orlando, it is time to move into the place you will be staying. That is a treat in itself, especially if you are staying inside of Disney property because every different place is unique in its own way. The next step is to make sure you get a good night’s rest, because you will be waking up early the next day for a full day at the parks. There are four different Disney Parks and two different Universal Parks in the Orlando area that you can choose to attend. Each park has their own iconic rides that are unique to the environment and atmosphere of each place. This allows vacationers to stay for an extended period of time, and still being able to visit a new park each day. The way you can vacation at Disney World is totally unique and different for each person, but the variety and excitement that each trip brings is what keeps Disney as my favorite dream vacation.  

 

Trip to Upstate New York

Upstate New York

When most people think of New York they think of the the city part. Everyone every year goes there for a vacation, but there is so much more. The upstate part of New York is the complete opposite of New York, New York. This is a great vacation because it has so much to offer. The first thing you notice when you enter this part of New York is the nature. The nature is beautiful there are mountains animals, lakes, rivers. The greatest attributes to nature all in this one place. Now yes this place may not be for everyone but it is something i definitely recommend.One of the biggest attractions from Upstate is the Ski mountain Windham Mountain. This mountain is huge and has lights for night skiing or snowboarding. This place also suplies you with lessons so you can get on the big slopes quick. If even that is not enough they have a place at the bottom of the hill for tubing which is something the whole family can enjoy. The total price for skiing or snowboarding with lessons is about $250 for a family of 5. Tubing is about $10 a person. And when you done with a long day of skiing you can stop by the 5 star restaurant Mill Rock. Another tourist attraction would be the place of Howe Caverns. This is a place where you can go more than 800 feet in the ground and observe an almost magical place like you never seen before and see what it is like to be that far underground.

The last tourist attraction i would recommend would be
Mohonk mountain house. this is a resort were you go to vacation and enjoy the true beauty of Upstate new york. It is like a spa except your surrounded by a big lake and woods instead of palm trees and sand. For most people its a preference but i really recommend it.

California

If I had to choose one place for my dream vacation it would have to be Los Angeles, California. Since i was a young kid, I have always wanted to go to California because my father use to live out there in the mid twenty's. He has told me about a lot of things he did out there and about all the fun he had. For a round trip airplane ride, it would be about $606 with US Airways. To me that is not that bad for a trip to California and back to Boston. When staying in Los Angeles, I would probably stay at The Standard Downtown LA hotel. The lowest price they have for rental is about $185 a night. When going to California there is a few things I would have to do. One thing would go to a Lakers game at Staples Center against the Boston Celtics. Since i was a kid I learned about the history between the two teams and i recently got to see the rivalry in the NBA Championship is 2008 and 2010. That would definitely be a great experience. Another thing I would want to do is go to a Los Angeles Angels game. I would want to go to one of their games because they have one of the best teams in the MLB today. With the star power of Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton, I have no doubts it would be a great game to see no matter whom they played. Another place I would want to visit would be Universal Studios. I would love to visit there because I want to see where a lot of great movies and shows have been shot. Only thing I would try to not to get mixed in with a big crowd of people because I think it would take away from the experience. One last place I would want to visit would be the Music Center. I would want to go there, so I could see one good music performance that is either hip-hop or country. Even if they did not have the type of music I would typically listen to, I would still go no matter what. 

Rome, Italy

There are many places around the world that I would love to see during my life.  The streets of Paris, London, and Moscow are all on my to see list.  Walking along the Great Wall of China and through the ruins of Machu Pichu would be events not many get to experience.  But if I could only visit one place, it would be the city of Rome.  Although Rome doesn't have a warming beach or towering mountains, it is one of the most beautiful and historically important cities on the planet.
Rome has so many things to offer.  Michelangelo, one of history's most well known artists, created many of his masterpieces in ancient Rome, and they can be seen in museums and cathedrals throughout the city. There are several things to do, however, f I ever do get the chance to visit Rome, the first thing I would do is visit the Ancient Colosseum.  From epic stories about the Roman Empire, no monument matches the Colosseum in history or beauty.  The world's first larger than life sporting arena, remnents of the once vast Colosseum are still intact today, and the thought of ancient gladiator's fighting to the death in that arena is one of the most powerful feelings one can experience.
While in Rome, you can fully indulge in Italy's most well known contribution to the culinary world, pizza.  Some of the country's best pizzeria's are located within Rome.  If pizza isn't your thing, Rome also offers some of the world's best pasta, and Italy's dessert, gelato.
Not to be forgotten is the city within the city.  If you were to somehow grow tired of Rome, one of the most holy sites in the world lies within this majestic city.  The Vatican City, home to the Pope, and perhaps the site of greatest historical importance to the Catholic Church, lies within the city of Rome. 
The only bad thing about this once in a lifetime trip would be getting there.  A flight from Boston to Rome has a duration of just over 7 hours, and would run you about $1200.  Once in Rome, staying at the city's finest hotels could max out at over $1000 per night.  Of course, much more moderate accommodations can always be made.

Fort Myers, Florida

If you are the type of person that loves kicking back and enjoying the sun, Fort Myers, Florida would be a perfect location for a vacation.  Located only thirty minutes from Fort Myers Beach, you are sure to soak in the rays that sunny Florida has to offer.  Finding a cheap and affordable place to stay can sometimes be very difficult but there is a solution in this case.  The Red Roof Inn located in North Fort Myers is a great hotel with a beautiful view of the harbor.  When the sun comes up in the morning, the scenery in the morning is picture perfect.

If the beach isn't your cup of tea, there is a crystal blue swimming pool the over looks the harbor and is perfect for sitting back and relaxing.  Surrounded by palm tree after palm tree, you are sure to be in awe.  The Red Roof Inn is also located in a very good area if you are looking to explore the local area for some good food.  Right across the street there are a number of BBQ restaurants as well as some more fancy restaurants.  The choices are unlimited.  the Red Roof Inn is very affordable and only cost around 50-80 dollars a night which is well worth the money with the amazing view from your room.

If you are in search of something do to while in the city of Fort Myers, I would highly suggest you check out the Gene Cusic Classic which brings division 3 colleges from around the country to play baseball for a week to start their seasons off.  Nichols College made their way down to Fort Myers for the Classic and faced off against schools from Vermont, Wisconsin, Pittsburg and Maryland to name a few.  The talent that is on display is like non other.  With over a hundred schools participating, there is guaranteed to be a game being played.

Even if college baseball really isn't your thing, there are major league spring training complexes scattered all around the Fort Myers area.  The Red Sox, Twins and Rays are all less then 30 minutes from each other.  Fort Myers is sure to have you not wanted to ever leave.  With temperatures in the mid 70s and even 80s this time of year, there is no where else that can beat it.  Fly out of Boston's Logan International Airport and it is an three hour flight down to Southwest International Airport in Fort Myers.  Round trip which is room and board and the flight both ways should only cost you around 900 dollars for an entire week in the sun.  You cannot beat those prices these days.  I highly suggest taking a trip down during spring break or the summer to enjoy what Fort Myers has to offer. 

Dream Vacation: Aruba

My dream vacation is to go to Aruba. I went to Aruba when I was in 8^th grade and I fell in love with the atmosphere and the people. Everyone in Aruba is so nice and friendly everywhere you go. I love the ocean and marine life so Aruba is even more perfect because Aruba has great places to go snorkeling and see all different types of fish. When I went last time I was scuba diving with fish all around me and that memory is still so vivid in my memory. I have always been fascinated with marine life and to experience such a beautiful thing it really impacted me on how much I loved Aruba.

My trip to Aruba would be an all-inclusive 8 days 7 nights vacation. All-inclusive makes it very pricey because that includes all the food and all the drinks you want. Especially in Aruba the drinking age is 18 so you can really have some fun with the all-inclusive aspect.

A 7 night all-inclusive trip to the Radisson Aruba ResortCasino Spa including roundtrip airfare would bring you to a total of $1,910.40. This includes all the food and all the drinks you want all day. You don’t have to worry about money while you’re there except for leaving your waiter a tip. The other thing you would need money for would be to do activities like scuba diving or jet-skiing or anything you can think of.

One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen was the Natural Pool in Windward Coast, Aruba. This is a rock formation that is set up so that water can get in and small fish. Tour groups take people to go visit and people just snorkel and look at all of the fish. The water is crystal clear and just a beautiful sight to see. The other attraction I would go to is BabyBeach in Saint Nicolas, Aruba. This was definitely the clearest ocean water I have ever seen my whole life. There are so many fish to see while you are snorkeling. It is just and amazing thing to do and witness.

Dream Vacation

My dream vacation would be to go anywhere that is surrounded by water. The water and the sun would be a great combination but what I would really want is just for my family and friends to be there. I never get to see my family since I haven’t lived at home since I was sixteen. My mom and dad have never went on a real vacation as they have always been taking me around to places for hockey so I would love to just give them the dream get away. They work so hard and never spend anything on themselves that I would love to be away with them. I would really enjoy being on the water with my dad fishing and just hanging out and my mom could be on the beach bronzing all she wants.

I would also want my friends to be there as I do not get to see them often; they are all off at different schools so to get everyone all together would be unreal. My family and friends mean everything to me so if I could put together the perfect vacation they would all be there. Being on an island would be the best case scenario, not a worry in the world no outside distractions and nothing to think about but just enjoying your life, family, and friends.

I would literally do anything to have this vacation; I would love to be able to give this to my parents. They deserve something this nice; eventually someday I will give them this vacation. I don’t need the fancy night clubs or the bars and night life to have a good time. If I had my family friends and the cool water and warm sun I would be the happiest person in the world. Most people need that excitement and the thrill. It’s really not about that, it’s about spending time with your loved ones and making memories. Eventually those people won’t be around and you will just have to live off those memories that are why I would love this vacation because I know it would be such a good time.

Wildwood, New Jersey

My favorite place for a vacation is Wildwood, New Jersey. Wildwood is the best shore in New Jersey. It is voted to have the best fun in all of New Jersey for the whole family and for all of your friends.  

Going to Wildwood is my best place to go on vacation. If I ever need a last second place to go if my main idea for vacation gets canceled because of bad weather. Also I do not have to pay to stay at a hotel, I got my grandmothers shore house I can use any time I want as long as I let her know that I am coming.

When I am in Wildwood there is so much do. There is 5 miles of beach and boardwalk. Also three piers with rides and games. As well as many arcade and restaurants to choose from. The most of any restaurants are pizza parlors. Everywhere you look there is a pizza shop and arcade. They even had three water parks on the boardwalks if you do not want to go on the beach.

My favorite arcade is Gateway 26. Gateway 26 has the best video poker tournaments and best crane games for only 25 cents. They are the only ones on the boardwalk that still have 25 cent cranes while the other arcades are 50 cents.  With the video poker tournaments they are best in all of Wildwood. They always give away prizes that are the best like video games and autographs of athletes, sometimes even a car at the end of summer.

A Trip to the Domican Republic

Hello Everyone! I’ve always wanted to go to the Dominican Republic. I know a lot of people that tell me how amazing it is and how fun. I want to experience that myself though. I have a lot of Dominican friends also and have recently invited me to go with them. I haven’t gone because I haven’t had that much time to decide what to do and how much it’s going to cost me. I see pictures of the beautiful resorts there and I get jealous every time I see a picture and say to myself, “I want to go now”. My best friend went down there for vacation and told me that if I went there, I wouldn’t want to come back. I want to go visit Santo Domingo because that is one of the most popular sites of Dominican Republic. Also it’s the capital of D.R witch I want to see what it’s like to be the one of the main sites of D.R. There are flights from Boston around 220$ and the hotels are around average 100$ a night witch is cheaper than hotels in Boston.  I would have to go to that restaurant called Heladeria Valentino witch is a top notch restaurant with a lot of good and positive reviews about their food. Besides Santo Domingo, I would also want to visit Punta Cana because I heard it’s beautiful out there. That’s where most of the post cards and pictures come from Dominican Republic. They also have good hotels and resorts there that attract a lot of outsiders coming in. There’s a resort called the Majestic Colonial Punta Cana witch has the most positive reviews and is also one of the most known resorts in D.R. The reviews say that this place is one of the cleanest they visited and the pool and beach areas were well kept. I’m not use to a well cleaned beach, especially being from Boston where there are only a few beaches people go to. To experience this would be worth the money. That’s where I want to go this summer if I can get that chance.

 

The Irish Exploration

TRIP TO IRELAND

 

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would take a trip to Ireland. My mom's side of the family is 100% Irish, making me of course 50% Irish. For years my relatives have told me that everyone in Ireland looks like me. I became so interested in the Irish culture, that for my sixth grade curriculum fair project, I chose to do it on Ireland.

Things I want to do there:

One of the first things I would want to do on my trip would be to visit Blarney Castle. This castle is home to the famous Blarney Stone. According to legend, by kissing the Blarney Stone, one will gain the gift of eloquence. Besides the Blarney Stone, Blarney Castle is also home to beautiful gardens, a classic dungeon, and "wishing steps". If you can walk up and down these stairs backwards with your eyes closed, your wish will become true within a year.

 

 

 

Another place I would want to visit while in Ireland is the Dublin Zoo. Dublin Zoo was first opened in 1831 and is now home to over 400 different animals. Some of these animals include both the Asian & African lion, the Red panda, the African hunting dog, & the Brazilian tapir.

 

The story of the Titanic has always fascinated me. In the city of Belfast in Ireland, there is an entire visitor's center deicated to the sunken ship. The original Titanic was crafted in Belfast and today,  the Titanic Belfast serves as a museum about the Titanic. This building is the same height as the original ship, and offers a "experience" to visitors.

 

For the rest of my time in Ireland, I would want as much time as possible to explore the many cliffs, rolling hills, and other castles. There are several trails in Ireland that allow you to climb the cliffs and hills the beautiful landscape has to offer.

Going to Ireland would definitely be the trip of a life time. The trip, however, would not be complete without going into local pubs and seeing an Irish stepdancing show.

 



 



My Mongolian Experince

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Mongolia. This my seem strange, but I think it would be a great experience. I would have a family that lives in the rural part of the country take me in, and I would live with them for a couple weeks to a month. I would learn how everyday life is, and would get the full grasp of how these people live, and have lived for centuries. I already did some research, and most of the people live in huts in small communities, and have sheep, or grow their own food. I would really want to do this to, first of all, appreciate all of the things I have here in America. Secondly, it would be an unforgettable experience. I would have a really fun time just enjoying the simple things in life, and living in a different culture. It would also be an experience eating the traditional Mongolian cuisine. My stomach would probably have to get used to it, since it is so much different to the food here in America. One dish I really want to try is khorkhog. This is mutton sealed in milk with vegetables on the side. This sounds delicious to me. This vacation might sound odd, or very weird to some people, but I think it would be a lot of fun. The expenses would be the flight, and I would probably pay the family I stayed with, just to help them out, for helping me have a good time. I would also play a little, and listen to the Morin khuur be played. This a traditional Mongolian stringed instrument, and a symbol of the nation of Mongolia. This instrument is very important to the people of Mongolia, and I would possibly buy one to bring home as a souvenir. I wouldn't play this one, because I would want it to stay in good condition, so I would be able to appreciate it for years to come. I would help the family collect their food during the day, and would be helpful to this family, while I learn about their culture. I think this would be one of the best vacations I could go on.

Berlin, Germany

Ever since I was little I have had this dream to visit Germany. I have always wondered what it’s like on the other side of the world. I would so my desire to go not just to Germany but Berlin, Germany began when I found out it was in my blood. After my dad told me I was part Germany I began to wonder what there was to do for fun and if it was anything like the U.S. I also wanted to go to get a little bit of background on the culture and environment. One of the biggest attractions there is Museumsinsel (Museum Island). It consists of five museums on a tiny island. This one would fill me in on a lot of the history that I do not know already.

TV Tower (Fernshturm) is another well-known attraction I would visit. It is the tallest structure through out all of Germany. You can take one of two elevators to the top in 40 seconds. There is a Telecafe at the top so you can enjoy the view of Berlin along with refreshments. I have always feared heights but this is one I wouldn’t turn down.

The Berlin Zoo (Zoologischer Garten) would be a very fun place to visit as well. There are more than 14,000 animals there to see as well as an aquarium. I cannot remember the last time I have been to a zoo but this one sounds like a lot of fun.

The last place I would visit but certainly not the least while in Berlin is the Volkswagen Automobile of Berlin. I have a Volkswagen and love the culture behind it but I am interested to see what they offer on the other side of the world where they originated. I have always wanted to see how big the company is in Germany.

I would stay at the Avant Grande, which was built in 1889. It is $687 for five nights. You cannot beat that. It is also rated an 8.4 out of ten on booking.com. It also costs $1,225 round trip from Boston, Massachusetts to Berlin, Germany. This is my dream trip that I hope to make as soon as I have enough money saved up.
