BASEBALL

Baseball can seem to be like an easy sport to pick up. People just look at it and say all you need to be able to do playing in the field is throwing and pitching … But there is a lot more to just those three things. You have to know the right techniques for each of those three.

Throwing: When throwing a baseball you need to have the right techniques and positioning to be able to throw the ball the best possible way you can. When throwing a baseball you want to be squared to your target. Secondly, you want to place the ball behind you so you can wind up well enough to be able to throw the ball to you target. Third, you have to throw at a ¾ angle. If you try to throw side arm or completely over the top, you will not have complete control over where the ball is going. And lastly, you want to make sure you completely follow threw so you can get the maximum speed on the ball.

Pitching: When pitching the mechanics is the most important thing you need to know. First thing you want to do is make sure your body is on an angle towards home plate and not completely squared to home plate because you nee to have small steps to your motion to the plate so you are not twisting your body awkwardly. Another thing is making sure your glove is pointed towards you and not to the base coaches because if it is going towards the base coaches they could tell the batter what they are pitching. When making the first move out of the motion, move your glove side foot to the outside of the rubber then square your back foot. Then you bring your front leg up then bring your foot down then throw.

Throwing and pitching are very important parts of the game of baseball. If you do not know how to do these things properly, your baseball team can and most likely will get destroyed in a game. So if you take these things and use them in your game, you will be more successful!
